After careful consideration, including CDC recommendations, and local restrictions regarding gatherings, the VAHRMM20 conference has been postponed to a date to be determined in the future.
President's Message - June 2020
Dear VAHRMM members,
I hope you and your family are healthy and safe during these uncertain and unprecedented times. As members of the Supply Chain community, the challenges that have emerged with the Covid 19 pandemic have raised awareness of the Healthcare supply chain like never before. Supply chain professionals are collaborating, innovating, and revolutionizing not only addressing the daily encounters but are also reshaping the future of how supply chain will be viewed in the future.
Over the last few months the VAHRMM board has had to make several changes and decisions.
First, after careful consideration, including CDC recommendations, and local restrictions regarding gatherings the board decided to postpone our annual VAHRMM fall conference to a date to be determined in the future. Protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of our members, sponsors, and vendor partners takes precedent.
Additionally, the board would like to welcome two of its newest members. Joe Howze has accepted the position on the board as part of the education committee, and Candace Picagli has graciously accepted the board membership committee position. Please help me welcome them to your VAHRMM Board.
Finally, it is with heavy heart that I announce that Keith Dabbs resigned from his position on the board as President Elect. Keith has accepted a Supply Chain position out of state. We wish Keith abundant success in his new endeavor. Elections for the President position will take place at our next annual conference. In closing, please remember the hospital supply chain community is very strong. By working together in these unchartered waters we will all see this pandemic through and come out stronger on the other side. Remember not all heroes wear capes.
